Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators through public information points and event-based activities. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to present clear information on drug risks, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. A short report is available via a published overview.
According to organisers, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—strengthening public health and community outreach Vienna civic responsibility.”
